The Wolf of Wall Street

Leonardo DiCaprio plays Jordan Belfort – a young hotshot stock broker and head of Stratton Oakmont with a knack for manipulating the stock market.  I’ve read the autobiography of Jordan Belfort and I must say this movie (if done right and face it Scorsese will get it right) will be wild, sexy, scandalous and entertaining as all get out.  Think Wall Street meets Boiler Room (on steroids).   Boiler Room was in fact inspired by Belfort’s story.

The Hunger Games:  Catching Fire

Part 2 of the Hunger Games Trilogy picks up where the first film ended.  If you have read the books (and I haven’t found someone who hasn’t) this trailer needs no introduction.   However for those who haven’t here is the set up.

After winning Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) returns home to District 12 along with fellow winner Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). Shortly after, they must leave on a Victory Tour of the districts. On the day of the Victory Tour, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) threatens Katniss’ best friend and pretend cousin, Gale Hawthorne. During the tour, Katniss senses that a rebellion is brewing in the districts, but the Capitol is still firmly in control as Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games, known as a Quarter Quell, an event taken place every 25. In this Hunger Games, the tributes will be selected from the existing pool of winners. Peeta and Katniss end up in the arena again, only this time surrounded by fellow former champions as President Snow is determined to eliminate them and destroy the rays of hope and the sparks of rebellions brewing up in the Districts
