Pharrell Williams Star Studded Wedding Reception

Pharrell Williams is set to celebrate his wedding to Helen Lasichanh this weekend in Miami. The singer / songwriter / producer is planning an over the top lavish party at the National Tropical Botanical Garden in the exclusive Coconut Grove area of Miami.

The couple married in a secret ceremony in France this past August but wanted to have a celebration back home with their friends and family.  Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake are both rumored to be performing. Other guests include David Guetta, Paula Patton, Robin Thicke and Gwen Stefani.

Guests have been asked to wear “garden party attire.” Pharrell is known for his style so we can only imagine everyone will be styled from head to toe.  Each guest has been asked to provide his or her shoe size, suggesting that special slippers may be provided to add themed style (or to protect the garden). Seeing that Pharrell has worked with everyone from Miley Cyrus to Daft Punk we can only imagine the event will have more music stars than an awards show.

We can’t wait to see the pictures!!!

Miley Cyrus Acts Out “By Design!”

Miley Cyrus isn’t surprised by the attention she’s (STILL) getting after her now infamous performance at the MTV Video Music Awards and controversial nude music video for “Wrecking Ball.”  In fact, she says, it’s by design.

“It’s kind of what I want,” Cyrus, told Matt Lauer on the Today show Monday. “I’m an artist, so I’m hoping that I get a little attention, otherwise my record sales might be a little sketch. … I don’t ever really plan to offend people, but sometimes that just happens, because I think people aren’t open to what they don’t understand.”

Commenting on her VMA performance with Robin Thicke, Cyrus said: “It went exactly as planned. I mean, it’s a month later and we’re still talking about it.”

Cyrus’ first two singles off her upcoming album “Wrecking Ball” and “We Can’t Stop” are both currently in ITunes top 10 (both having spend long stints at number 1.  Apparently the “by design” plan is working.
